The partition is installed with the front seat adjusted the the maximum rearward position. This generally leaves about 4-6" between the rear seat bench and the partition. There are probably no standards which refer to seat position, IDK. But there are laws about the hazardous partition surfaces, edges and protrusions of partitions. There are also laws which require the partition maker to notify the UDSDOT, keep records, recall and remedy, or repurchase if unable to remedy. They (partition makers) do none of these things and have never been called to task for these deadly violations. The roll bar part of the partition is intended for ONLY off road use... WITH a helmet.
